Visit the Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most picturesque and scenic regions in Italy. It is a great place to visit in the summer, as you can take in the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the dramatic coastline.

The towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello are particularly worth visiting, and they offer plenty of culinary delights with artisanal restaurants, cafés, and local markets to explore.

Tour Rome

Rome is a city that is steeped in history and culture. There is so much to see and do here that you could easily spend a week exploring its many attractions and ancient sites.

The Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Vatican City are all worth visiting, as well as many smaller museums and art galleries. Throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain, and legend has it that you will return to Rome one day.

The churches and buildings in Florence, Italy

Experience the Art of Florence

Florence is a city that is renowned for its art and architecture. It is home to some of the most famous works of art in the world, including Michelangelo's David, Botticelli's Birth of Venus, and Da Vinci's Annunciation.

The city is also home to the Duomo, a magnificent cathedral that dominates the skyline, and the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous art museums in the world. Cross the Ponte Vecchio, a mediaeval bridge that is 1345 years old and let it take you back in time.

The beaches and waters surrounding Sardinia, Italy

Spend Time on the Beaches of Sardinia

A summer in Europe is not a real vacation if you do not take in the numerous fantastic beaches that await you. If you're a beach connoisseur, then Sardinia is the place to go.

The island of Sardinia is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, and some might even say in the whole of Europe, including Costa Smeralda and La Maddalena. The beaches here have crystal-clear waters and soft, white sand, making them the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The Lakes of Lombardy with orange skies

Enjoy the Lakes of Lombardy

The Lakes of Lombardy are a group of stunning lakes in the north of Italy. The most famous of these are Lake Como and Lake Garda, which are surrounded by mountains and have a number of picturesque towns and villages along their shores.

You can take a boat tour of the lakes or simply relax on shore and take in the scenery.

The Ancient Sites of Pompeii

Visit the Ancient Sites of Pompeii

Pompeii is an ancient Roman city located near Naples, Italy, and one of our favourite ancient attractions in Europe. The city was destroyed and buried under volcanic ash and pumice after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Today, it is a popular tourist destination and an important archaeological site. The tragedy of Pompeii allows us to take a glimpse into life during the Roman Empire since everyday living has been conserved under the ashes.

Here are some things you can do when visiting Pompeii:

Explore the Archaeological Site:

The Pompeii archaeological site is vast and covers an area of about 170 acres. You can spend hours exploring the city's ruins, including ancient temples, public buildings, houses, and streets. We usually recommend hiring a licensed guide or renting an audio guide to learn more about the history and significance of the different structures and artefacts you will encounter.

One of the most impressive structures in Pompeii is the Amphitheatre, which is the oldest surviving one of the whole Roman Empire. It was built in 70 BC and could seat up to 20,000 spectators. You can visit the amphitheatre and imagine the exciting events that took place there, such as gladiator fights and wild animal shows.

Another spectacular site is the Pompeii Forum. The Pompeii Forum was the political, economic, and social centre of the city. It was a large open space surrounded by public buildings, temples, and shops. You can visit the Forum and see the remains of the Temple of Jupiter, the Basilica, and the Comitium, which were important structures in ancient Roman society.

Another interesting attraction is the House of Faun. This house was one of the largest and most luxurious houses in Pompeii. It was named after a bronze statue of a dancing faun that was found on the site. The house has beautiful mosaics, frescoes, and sculptures, which provide an insight into the daily life and customs of the wealthy Pompeians.

The Villa of the Mysteries is another impressive house that has a series of frescoes depicting the initiation rites of the cult of Bacchus. The Villa is located outside the city walls and provides a glimpse into the religious beliefs and practices of the ancient Romans.

Besides all the ancient attractions and historical sites, Pompeii is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, including Mount Vesuvius, the Bay of Naples, and the Sorrento Coast. If you are not a history enthusiast, you can enjoy the panoramic views from different vantage points within the city, or take a short hike to the top of Mount Vesuvius for a more spectacular view while the other members of your group or family explore the historical attractions of Pompeii.

A private yacht sailing through the waters of Italy

Exploring Italy by Private Yacht

It is clear by now that Italy is a wonderful destination to explore during the summer. We highly recommend our clients to explore Italy mainly by yacht since it is one of the favourite destinations for all Europeans and Americans during summer, and it can become crowded at times.

Therefore, exploring Italy by private yacht can transform a great trip into a truly unforgettable experience, since you can escape the crowds and enjoy many other advantages that come with hiring a private yacht.

There are several reasons why chartering a private yacht is recommendable for your Italy vacation:

1. Access to secluded and exclusive destinations: Italy is known for its beautiful coastline, and many of its best beaches and hidden gems are only accessible by boat. With a private yacht, you have the freedom to explore these secluded locations away from the crowds and tourist hotspots.

2. Flexibility and customization: When you travel by private yacht, you have complete control over your itinerary. You can customize your trip to fit your preferences, whether you want to spend your days lounging on the deck or exploring historic towns and cities. You can also adjust your schedule based on weather conditions, ensuring that you have the best possible experience.

3. Luxury and comfort: A private yacht offers the ultimate in luxury and comfort. You can relax on deck, take a dip in the sea, and enjoy all the amenities and services that come with a top-of-the-line yacht. Plus, you have the added benefit of having a dedicated crew who are there to cater to your every need.

4. Culinary experiences: Italy is known for its incredible food and wine, and a private yacht allows you to indulge in these culinary delights uniquely. You can dock at local ports and explore the local cuisine or have your own private chef onboard to go to the local markets and prepare meals tailored to the local specialties and tastes.

5. Unmatched views and experiences: The coastline of Italy is stunning, and a private yacht allows you to see it from a unique and private vantage point, away from the crowds. You can witness the sun setting over the sea, take in the beauty of ancient ruins and historic architecture from the water, and experience the Mediterranean lifestyle in a way that few get to.

All in all, exploring Italy on a private yacht in the summer is a luxurious and unforgettable experience that provides the ultimate in flexibility, convenience, and privacy. With access to secluded locations, a dedicated crew, and incredible culinary experiences, a private yacht trip through Italy is a dream vacation that everyone should have on their bucket list.
